“Hues of Modern Love” is a story that attempts to explain the difference between the actual meaning of Love and the one that is being interpreted these days. Love is not restricted to physical intimacy but it is also a sublime connection with the soul of the other person. The plot revolves around three people, who become friends during a journey. Their conversation takes a different turn and they disclose secrets that had been buried in their past.
Hues Of Modern Love as name suggests casts the shades of love of today’s youth. It focuses on three characters Cheery, Zoiba and Joy.
It kick starts with the leads family drama, after break up-frustration and his start of journey in which he meets Joy that blooms into a friendship. I liked how they bonded and the drama they through. As the story furthers , Zoiba joins the duo ; bringing a twist in the tale.
During their journey they shares their share of love stories and break up leading them to rethink on their pasts and considering where they went wrong; how they accept them and emerge out of it is for you to find by reading the story 😛
The story follows bollywood filmy style with masala and drama and i bet filmy people will love it. The language and narration style need improvement. The plot and the theme is potential enough to make it a good read 🙂
I would rate this 3.25/5 and would like to share what earned my special like from the book –
Those last words…
Nothing can make it feel this way,
The way you made me feel that day,
Not so close, not so far, and we saved our love in a jar,
We knew this love wasn’t right,
Only if we knew it wasn’t worth a fight,
All I say is, you are mine,
And we believe well, be just fine,
We know this love was too fade,
For all the mess we just made,
There is insecurity when you are not near,
And this soul can never overcome that fear,
We say we aren’t meant to be,
But we even say without you there is no me”.
