Panorama (Shilpi Chaklanobis) ~ Book Review

About the Book –

A collection of stories, some of which focuses on:

A turbulent relationship between a mother and a daughter takes a sudden turn when the daughter stumbles across a past that she never knew…..

The golden period of a professor’s life is tainted by questions about his purpose until one night gives him all the answers he needs……..

Desperate times test us all but when hunger drives a girl to do the unthinkable, her life changes forever……….

Woven around the lives of the people around us – the shy girl on the metro, your domestic help, your neighbors and perhaps even you – this collection of short stories will take you on a bittersweet journey that explores the spectrum that is part of any human relationship and all the complexity and chaos that secretly dwell within the homes and hearts of India.

Often laced with an element of introspection, the stories are sure to change the way you see the world around you…

Panorama is a collection of soul stirring short stories. The author effortlessly captured scenarios of life or different shades of emotions, people and their relations around us with a promising writing style.

Each story hold a deep theme or a lesson of life. They are easy to relate and connect to and will change the way you look at life for sure. Some hold very striking thoughts and lines indeed! Wok and The Second Tsunami are my favorites and in  fact the ending of The Second Tsunami gave me a chill down my spine. I loved the way each story ended with a bang and what concepts each story described; I wish to read more from this writer 🙂

Some stories were easily predictable but it was worth to follow it and some could have more to it and some to the point rather than deep detailing. The book cover is just an average for me.

I would rate this book 4.5/5 🙂 and invite my readers to grab a copy .
