Promise Me a Million Times( Keshav Aneel ) : Book Review

Believing that life always gives us all a second chance is too bookish a thought. Because sometimes, by the time we finally realize our faults and true potential, times have changed dramatically.
Like a couple of migratory birds, both Charlie and Edwin leave everything back in their village and settle for a new life in the big city. For Edwin, it was where he was going to chase his dreams of becoming an actor; But for Charlie, it was just another place to be with his only friend, to help him accomplish his dreams.
However, life seemed to have different plans as it throws Charlie in Aster’s way, who was silently walking through instabilities of her own destiny. He could never have guessed, but he was in for an absolute unthoughtful phase of profoundness, which was going to last forever.
Promise me a Million Times is a story of dreams, friendship, struggles and a will to make up for every loss with love by your side.

Promise me a million times was a pleasant treat to me. Nowhere i felt that it is a debut novel and for that i would like to applaud for Mr.Keshav Aneel. It is about friendship, love , life, relations and … promises 😉 . I don’t want to say much as i feel once i start i will end up creating spoilers… so leaving it to the readers to explore.

The best thing about the book is it’s presentation! From its book cover to the plot to the writing style … they are just simply beautiful and shouts about the detailed efforts behind. The author succeeded in weaving the feelings and emotions intact in every page that will connect with the readers effectively. The choice of names and backdrop gave a creative change in reading from Indian author. it was not just about the story alone but giving positive outlook to life and situations, a deliberate attempt at motivation by the writer i think and it indeed did wonders to the book. There was right proportion of everything in it.

The plot could have been more effective and unpredictable. I would like to read more creative genres from this author rather than romance.

I would rate this book 4.5/5 as an appreciation and encouragement. I recommend this to all book lovers for a refreshing read.
